A Little About Me

Hi, I'm Alix Turk, the goldsmith behind Ridgetop Jewellery. RTJ started in 2020 with little formal training, though I don't think that's something to brag about.

 

I’ve learned through hands-on experience, trial and error, and a passion for creating beautiful things.

I've been crafting for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was fascinated by making jewelry out of found items like beach stones and bike tubing. Over time, I've honed my craft and now work with  precious metals and gemstones. In 2024/2025, I completed a Jewellery Certificate at George Brown College in Toronto and plan to continue expanding my skills in the future.

 

The landscapes around me (the Canadian Rockies) are a constant source of inspiration, but at the heart of my work, I simply create what I think looks pleasing. Every piece is handcrafted, one-of-a-kind.
